This club has put more than 50,000 books into the hands of children.
In October of 2019, they donated 200 mesh backpacks to the Bentonville Public Library's Lessons for Homeschoolers. Also in October, on National Make a Difference Day, they placed 114 clear plastic bags in areas where children could find them with a book enclosed and a note saying. "Congratulations! You found a book! Please take me home and read me and when you are done, please re-hide me for others to find. If you want to keep me that's fine, but please hide one of your books so others can join the fun".
2020, in August they donated $1000 to Decatur Northside Elementary to help purchase tablets and much needed school supplies. Individual club members also collected and delivered additional school supplies. In September they donated $500 to the Gravette Library, to purchase youth nonfiction books. In November of the same year, they donated $1000 to the newly expanded Bella Vista Public Library, to support the children's section.
In 2021, in February, The Daughters of the American Revolution, DAR, donated 167 books to Altrusa for donating to several entities, libraries, hospitals, schools or book nooks. In the same month they donated $300 to the Thomas Jefferson Elementary school to purchase books by Arkansas authors. In October, they donated dictionaries to the districts of Bentonville, Bella Vista, Gravette and Pea Ridge. This year it was a Spanish/English Dictionary.
2022, the club reached out to Decatur Elementary School with donations of coats, hats, water bottles and three boxes of books. The club donated $500 to the Bella Vista Library to help with their summer program. In Oct.Club members delivered 38 backpacks, 274 adult and children's books, 30 children's Spanish books, 27 prizes and 4 games to the re-opened rural Sulphur Springs Public Library. The Library is becoming the center of community activity in Sulphur Springs.
In 2023, the club distributed over 30,000 books to more than 17 different recipient organizations.
